But she’s young and quiet; he fears that she’ll run from his obvious dominance. He decides to move slowly, earning her trust one day at a time. Then, just as he thinks things are falling into place, she crushes his soul and disappears.
Janie has spent her entire life protecting herself and her mother from the terror that is her father. She’s always been made to believe that she was less than. She has accepted that her life will be spent alone, plain ole’ Janie, working her young life away in the local grocery. Then one day a beautiful, sexy, confident man comes into her store. She knows she’ll never be able to do more than admire him from a distance, until he smiles at her and makes her feel like the sun. But her father notices her interest in Bane and demands that she cut him out of her life. He has other plans, and they don’t include a man in Janie’s life. He needs her submissive and untouched.

Avaleigh's Boys, Book 3

This book is a work of fiction, creative license has been taken.
Kaid has watched as members of his clan have found and claimed their One, their Mate. Even the female that he had once hoped to claim as his own has found and claimed her One. He’s lonely, he’s tired of waiting, and his Bear is growing bitter and despondent watching from the side, never gifted with his own. He’s tired of hurting. Then a visit from an old friend delivers his heart’s desire. He’s speechless. She is beyond all he ever dreamed. But there’s a problem; she’s more Alpha than he is, housing a Monster that even she is afraid to release. And the little fact that he failed her before he ever knew she existed; how can she forgive him for his failure if he cannot even consider forgiving himself?
Delilah was born in captivity. Her parents murdered. All she has ever known is rules, permissions, cruelty, forced to barter in trade each day for her very survival. The concept of love, family and happiness mean nothing to her; they are merely words. Her captor leaves one day, never to return. She believes she’s been left to die a slow, painful death, starving in the cell that is her home. Then a chance encounter saves her; a human searching for answers stumbles across her hidden prison. She doesn’t trust him, but she’s got nothing to lose and he’s got food! So she goes with the man on an adventure that takes her to an Alpha who could be all she never knew she needed. Now if only the Monster that resides inside her wouldn’t eat her newfound friends, this might not be too bad!
While Kaid and Delilah struggle to form a bond other than the obvious physical one, a vengeful, unseen threat from the past scurries into the periphery of their lives, threatening not only their new-found chance at happiness, but the lives of every member of their clan and the very land they call home. Maverik's Ashes
Avaleigh's Boys, Book 4

This book is a work of fiction, creative license has been taken.
Maverik’s broken. His entire world came crashing down around him without warning, stolen from him brutally in the night by the one female he entrusted his soul to. His Wolf is all he’s got left; both are bitter, wary, untrusting and dangerous. They hide behind a wall of snarky, biting humor erected to keep the rest of the world at bay as they try desperately to cling to survival each and every day. He’s managed to find shelter in a clan of shifters. They have given him the support he needs to nurse his wounds in his solitary, self-imposed emotional isolation. It’s barely an existence, but it works for him, only now it’s getting harder. His clan is growing; they’re finding their Mates, their One. They‘re having babies, loving, laughing – living. And he’s not. He’s feeling more and more isolated. And the fact that he’s stumbled across another female that gives every indication that she’s his Mate is not helping. The last one almost destroyed him; there is no way in hell he will allow another female, any female, an opportunity to complete the job.
Valerie’s a Lion shifter. She’s independent, strong, loving and kind. She’s got more curves than a country backroad and gave up the struggle to be model perfect years ago. She’s learned to love who she is and knows exactly what she’s got to offer the right male. Her Lioness has dreamed all her life of finding the One male who’s meant for her, the one who will love her unconditionally and be proud to call her “Mine.” Unfortunately for her, the wild, tatted, mohawked and oh-so-sexy Wolf shifter who joins the local clan that frequents her brother’s bar is the male that her Lioness decides is hers. And the bastard won’t even acknowledge her existence! His repeated rebuffs of her attempts to just have a conversation with him end in her blazing hatred for him. If he can’t see past the curves that adorn her body to the amazing female underneath, it’s his loss, not hers. Why then, is it his face she sees each time she closes her eyes at night, each time her new fiancé kisses her?
Maverik’s had enough. The little Lioness calls to him in a way that he can no longer ignore. He wants her, forever. But before he can do anything about it, he’s got to deal with the ashes of his past. He’s got to go back, lay it all to rest and try to salvage some semblance of who he once was, of the honorable male that died that night. Maybe then he’ll be enough. Maybe then she’ll see him as the male he once was proud to be. Will he be able to man up, to make peace with his past before her hatred of him becomes so intense that she’ll never be able to see around it? He certainly hopes so, because without her, he’ll never survive.
This is the fourth book in the Avaleigh’s Boys Series, about a group of shifters who make their home in the backwoods and bayous of South Louisiana. Their clan consists of a mix-matched group of five shifters who depend on one another and are loyal to no end. These are their stories.

Bramley, Bam, as he’s known to his friends and family is a Bear shifter. He’s also a healer. He senses things about others and the world around him, but he can’t get a sense of what’s right for himself. He’s always known he wasn’t enough for a Mate. And he’d accepted it; until her. The female that would have been his Mate, had he been born worthy of one. And didn’t fate just love to jerk him around? It wasn’t enough that he couldn’t have her. She had to be placed right in front of his eyes where he had to interact with her and watch her find the male she was truly destined for. But it’s okay; he’ll watch over her, protect her, and love her enough to let her go when she finds her male. Only now, after pushing her away repeatedly so she’d find her true One, she’s missing. And he’ll be damned if he will allow her to stay missing; her male should have protected her better. He’s gonna find her, he’s gonna bring her home, and whether he’s worthy or not, he’s making her his! If he survives, that is…
Everly grew up forced to submit, used by the Fox skulk she was born into and especially by its heir apparent. It’s just the way of the world she lived in, but she’s always wanted more, wanted better. A chance encounter when she was young introduced her to a new friend and a whole new world of possibilities. Thanks to her friend and her friend’s brother, she learns to stand on her own, defend herself, and she refuses to settle for less than she knows she deserves. Then she meets him, her Mate. But he won’t have her, no matter how hard she tries. Until one night they finally connect. Just when she thinks it’s all going to be okay, her world comes to a screeching halt when he rejects her a final time, telling her to go to a male that means nothing to her. She runs away from her home, her friends, everything, as she searches for solace. There’s only one thing that could bring her back, her Mate. And now he needs her; his very survival depends on her. She’s going after him, and after she saves him, she’ll walk away if he still doesn’t want her. Now she only has to hope that she’s strong enough to save him, ‘cause she’s going in alone.
Edmond is Alpha of the local Fox skulk. He believes he’s entitled by birth and is cruel by nature. He was humiliated by Everly years ago and has fixated on her ever since. He’s managed to make her life a living hell. As far as he’s concerned, she’s his property to do with as he desires, and he plans to keep it that way. But there’s a chink in his plan; there’s a big Bear shifter hanging around lately, and Everly thinks the Bear is her Mate. Edmond is livid; the Bear not only interfered with his afternoon plans of a little fun with Everly, but he and his Wolf friend injured both Edmond and Edmond’s little brother. Any fool knows what that means; the Bear has to die, a slow and painful death at that. And Everly? She’s going to suffer for causing Edmond so much trouble. Neither one will ever know what hit them.

Vince's Place
Avaleigh's Boys, Book 6

This book is a work of fiction, creative license has been taken.
Vince is a Lion shifter, happily living life as a bachelor on the outer edges of the mix-matched clan of shifters his sister has married into. He’s fine like he is, or so he tells himself. Then one afternoon a woman wanders into his bar on the run from everything she calls home. His Lion sits up and takes notice. This must be it he thinks, this is the Mate call I keep hearing everyone talk about. He calls her Mate and sets about trying to make her believe it -- no matter how much she resists him and keeps her distance. Visiting the hospital to welcome a friend's new baby, Vince's Lion suddenly surges to the forefront, roaring 'Mate' in his mind. He’s stunned, speechless, and anchored to the spot he was standing in when he first caught sight of the pretty, brunette nurse. Then, the woman he’d mistakenly called Mate speaks behind him. Slowly he turns, realizing this can’t be right — he’s already got a Mate, already made promises, given his word — and he’s a man of his word. His Lion is outraged, his heart pounding, his soul shaken. How could he have been so wrong?
Natalie is a nurse spending her life working in two hospitals. Every waking moment she is helping someone somewhere, in an effort to keep herself focused on anything other than her private life. She’s been lied to, cheated on, and hurt so many times she refuses to allow it to happen again. Then, while working with a very unique couple of new parents, she runs into a man she can’t ignore. This man steals her attentions, captivates her with his presence, and it seems she unwittingly has the same effect on him. She dares to think that maybe, just maybe, this time will be different. When his girlfriend shows up to visit the new parents, Natalie’s hopes are dashed. Angry for allowing herself to be attracted to a man who is already committed, she runs -- leaving him and any explanation he may have to offer behind.
But, Vince isn’t even close to ready to give up. Natalie is his. He knows it, and his Lion knows it. Now all he has to do is find her — if he can.

Destinations, An Avaleigh's Boys/Legacy Novel
Avaleigh's Boys, Book 7
This is a No Burn, slice-of-life introduction to the children of Avaleigh’s Boys as they embark on their own journeys toward adulthood. It’s a bridge, a stepping stone to the next series in the Avaleigh’s Boys world. It is strongly suggested that Avaleigh’s Boys series be read first to ensure your enjoyment of this book.
Since Havoc and Analise were babies, it’s been clear to all of Kaid’s clan that they’re fated mates. But as we all know, having a fated mate isn’t always a good thing. Especially not finding them before they’re even old enough to talk. Havoc’s always loved Analise, and done his best to stand beside her. Only lately, his best is just not good enough. His Wolf is wild, hard to control. And the young man Havoc is, isn’t much better. He craves a taste of freedom to feed both their needs for adventure. While doing nothing others his age haven’t done, he manages to do everything wrong; and it backfires on him. He’s being pushed into a destiny he didn’t bargain for and his entire clan stands against him as a result.
Fate has done a number on Havoc and Analise. They were set up for failure from birth. Most shifters have the opportunity to grow, make mistakes, celebrate successes, and then find their fated mate after all the teenage angst has long been left behind them. Unfortunately, Analise has had to bear witness to all of Havoc’s dabbling. And she’s had enough. All she wants is for Havoc to let her go, break their bond so that they can both move on without further pain to the other.
But he won’t let go without a fight. All of the sons and daughters of Avaleigh’s Boys choose a side — standing behind one or the other. Who they choose to support, will result in either Analise or Havoc, being forced from the clan. Or will they? Is there a way for the clan to support both as they struggle through obstacles no fated mate, much less a teenager, should ever have to face?
Avaleigh’s Boys has always been synonymous with family, belonging, and love. Their stories have pulled at our heartstrings for years. Now, their sons and daughters step up to do the same as they make their way toward their destinations in life. Not all will end up where they think they will. Some of them have yet to even decide which path to follow, but all of them will have their own road to travel alone. Though one day, life might be kind enough to bring them back to where it all started — Avaleigh’s Boys.
